Payment InformationIf you have a Fort Collins Municipal Court traffic ticket and the penalty assessment portion on the front of your ticket has been completed, you may plead guilty and pay the ticket prior to your court date. Some tickets have "early payment discount" offers. To take advantage of the early payment discount (including a point reduction), you must pay the ticket within 14 days of the date you received the ticket. If you miss the early payment discount option, you may still pay the ticket prior to the court date without the addition of the $25.00 court cost; however, the original points will be assessed against your driving record. If the penalty assessment portion is not filled out (for example, in most motor vehicle accident cases), payment prior to your court date is not an option because your appearance for arraignment is mandatory. With some Fort Collins Municipal Court misdemeanor tickets, a plea of guilty may be entered and the fine paid without appearing in court. To find out whether this is an option in your case, call the phone number listed below.
You may bring payment in person or mail it to the Fort Collins Municipal Court Clerk's Office. You may also pay by phone or online with MasterCard, Visa, or Discover. You can reach us at Online payments may be made at any time and credit will be given for posting time. |
