Monthly Rates - Residential Wastewater
Effective as of Jan. 1, 2008 Charges for residential customers (and some commercial customers) are based on their average water consumption billed during January, February and March (winter quarter average, or WQA). This represents the amount of water that ends up in the wastewater system. These wastewater charges are recalculated in April and apply to bills until the following April. By conserving water, you can reduce your WQA and pay less for wastewater year-round. The minimum WQA (retain existing link) is 3,000 gallons (4,000 gallons for duplexes). Customers who haven't been in a residence long enough to establish a WQA are billed based on the rate class average (5,200 gallons), the median WQA of all residential customers. |
