Fort Collins Utilities assigns this rate to commercial customers who use 750 kilowatts (kW) or more of electricity each month.

E400 Series customers can view electric use data online with ElectriConnect, which provides up to two years of data for each metered account.

E400 rates are based on:

  1. Electric energy - total amount of electricity used in a month (measured in kWh), and all fixed charges;
  2. Facility demand - rate or speed at which facility uses electricity. This charge is for the highest one-hour demand at the facility during the billing period, or 75% of the highest demand for the previous 11 months; and
  3. Coincident peak – your facility’s demand for electricity during the time when electricity demand systemwide is highest.

Additional charges apply to E400 Series accounts that are secondary-metered and/or do not own their own transformers.
