Energy Rules!
Covering energy standards has never been this fun and easy. Students participate in hands-on energy labs that reinforce the science standards specific to their grade level. Teachers may choose to be a school’s energy champion and form an energy team. Students and staff form teams to take charge of energy use in their schools and earn rebates for saving energy. 6th Grade: Students learn about energy sources and energy conservation through a 16-station hands-on lab. Students:
If renewable energy is your focus, explore wind power through an inquiry lesson that will blow you away. Students become engineers that design and build their own wind turbine. Find out how creative your students can be. 8th Grade: Students rotate through an active, fun and engaging 14-station lab to learn about forms of energy. Using hair dryers, students evaluate heat energy and appliance ratings. LED holiday lights, incandescent bulbs and compact fluorescent bulbs light up the classroom to provide a hands-on look at energy conservation. |
