Reduce, Reuse, Recycle... A Waste Reduction Activity Kit
This kit was designed by Eco-Cycle, Inc. of Boulder, Colorado.

Learn about the history of trash through the centuries, practice precycling at a mock grocery store, experiment with a modern landfill, follow recyclables through the steps of reprocessing at the factories, make recycled paper, examine recycled products and more.

The kit includes visual aids, activities, games, slideshows, etc. It contains five 1 to 1 1/4 hour lessons.

The goal is for instructors to learn as they do the activities with the students. So the lessons require very little preparation time and no expertise in solid waste issues. All visual aids and necessary materials are included. Activities are geared for 4th-8th grades.
