2008 Heritage Courtyard Summer ProgramsJoin us at the Fort Collins Museum to learn more about life in the Old West! Registration begins Saturday, April 5, 2008, 10:00 am at the Museum. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. All sessions are Monday - Friday 9 am - 12:30 pm. Student must bring their own lunch and a mid-morning snack. Wild West Days
Ages: completion of Kindergarten - 2nd, 3rd - completion of 6thCost: $65 per childWild West Days allows children to explore the cultural legacies and lifestyles of the men and women of the 19th century Front Range. Activities will include map and compass navigation, American Indian sign language, track identification, gold panning, and much more. Wild West Early American Home Arts
Ages: completion of 3rd - completion of 6thCost: $65 per childMaintaining a home is no easy task! Discover the difficulties of creating one from scratch on the frontier. Boys and girls learn everything from baking and canning to sewing and washing - all in the 19th century way. The week wraps up with a showcase for family and friends. 2008 Program Dates:
Early American Home Arts Boxelder Schoolhouse
Ages: completion of 1st - completion of 6thCost: $65 per childLearn reading, 'riting, 'rithmatic and recitation the way it was taught in 1905. Each week-long session features a costumed teacher leading students through turn-of-the-century, one room schoolhouse lessons, including academics, citizenship and hygiene. Daily classes also include crafts, music and games. The week will close with a student recital for family and friends. 2008 Program Dates:
