Fort Collins Electric Energy Supply Policy
- maintain high system reliability;
- maintain competitive electric rates; and
- reduce the environmental impact of electricity use and generation.

- delayed investment in new power plants;

- cleaner air and reduced global warming potential; and
- continued high reliability and competitive electric rates.
- Reliability objectives include continuing to provide the historic high level of service;
- Rate objectives include maintaining competitive rates and restructuring to promote conservation and renewables;
- Energy use and peak demand objectives include reducing per capita electric consumption 10% and per capita peak day electric demand 15% by the year 2012; and
- Renewable energy objectives include a target of 15% of total energy resources by 2017.
