City Council
Watch City Council make decisions on important City issues. This is also a chance for Citizens to speak before Council.
Work Sessions are a chance for City Council to get information and ask questions on important topics. The topics at the August 26th Work Session are:
* South College Corridor Plan
* Fort Collins Climate Action Plan
Pre-recorded staff presentations that give City Council background information on topics to be discussed at an upcoming Work Session. The topics for October 14th are:
> Overall Stormwater Policy
> Portable Signs in the Right-of-Way
> Review of Existing Conditions Study/Proposed URA Plan for Prospect South
City Programs
Events & Information associated with the City of Fort Collins or Larimer County presented in bulletin board format.
Discussion with City Manager Darin Atteberry on the new South College Corridor Plan.
A profile of the City's Planning, Development & Transportation Department and how they "Make It Happen"
The Planning & Zoning Board hears development proposals for projects in Fort Collins. Watch as they hear presentations, ask questions and make decisions.
A discussion of the recent trash services study.
Environment
The theme for this episode is the Science of Small. The segments are: New Skin, Super Cloth, Following the Flow & Disease Detectors.
Larimer County Programs
The three elected Larimer County Commissioners hear proposals and make decisions on development projects and land use in the county.
The Larimer County Planning Commission is made up of 9 volunteers who make recommendations to the County Commissioners on land use and development projects.
A series of videos that profile the many Larimer County services offered to citizens. Areas such as Health & Human Services, Law Enforcement & Public Safety, Public Works, & more.
Discussion of local needs in the areas of mental illness & substance abuse treatment.
A magazine show produced for Larimer County. This show features a look at how the recent Citizen Survey was conducted. It also discusses some of the results.
Local Interest
Learn about the transition to Digital TV & how it will affect you. Viewers who access their programming by using an antenna will need to be prepared before the transition in February of 2009. Cable TV subscribers will not be impacted by the change.
CrossCurrents is produced with the League of Women Voters. It discusses local issues in a balanced forum which allows viewers to make up their own minds on important topics. This version of CrossCurrents features a disussion of a local issue that is on the November ballot. The topic is "Mental Health & Substance Abuse: Is Issue 1A The Answer?"
Learn about the local candidates that are running for election in November.
A discussion about the new emergency notification system, some of it's features and why it will help you stay informed.
The first segment is about a Composting & Gardening Festival held at The Gardens on Spring Creek. The second segment is on a recent LETA press conference where the new emergency notification system is unveiled.
Part of the "Thursday Night Music & More" Concert Series that took place in Civic Center Park this summer. The local group is called "Euforquestra" and their music is classified as "Afro Caribbean Barnyard Funk"!
