June 23rd - 29th - Bike Week

Jun 23rd - Commuter Kickoff

7:30am at the CSU Oval Join hundreds of fellow bike commuters on a short pre-work bike ride to commence bike week!

Jun 23rd, Jun 24th, Jun 25th, Jun 26th, Jun 27th & Jun 28th - Summer Kids B.I.K.E. Camp (Bicycles Improve Kid’s Experiences)

Teaches children ages 8-12 yrs old skills on how to ride safely in an urban setting. $50 per child, Saturday-Saturday - 8:30am-12:30pm. Register for bike camp through Parks and Recreation Dept.

Jun 24th - Bike Pedal Vs. Gas Pedal Challenge

Noon A bicycle commuter and a car commuter will go on the same four point errand around town. Who will win?

Jun 25th - Bike to Work Day!

Free breakfast stations throughout FC ( 6:30am-9:30am ). Get your workplace signed up and participate with thousands of other bicyclists. New! Beginning this year, FC Bikes will begin promoting “Bike to Work Wednesdays” within local businesses all year round!

Jun 25th - Downtown Bike Show

Bean Cycle (144 N. College) Enter your very own bicycle and win fabulous prizes. Starts at 6:30pm , judging at 8:00pm

Jun 26th - Cruise to the Movies

Meet 7:30pm at the Lincoln Center (417 W.Magnolia) for a ruiser bike ride to New Belgium Brewing Company (500 Linden ). Feature presentation: “Klunkerz” – A film on the history of mountain bikes. Movie begins at dusk. Fundraiser for Bike Fort Collins

Jun 27th - Bike n’ Jazz

Gardens on Spring Creek – 6:30pm - 8:30pm – Free event! Featuring live jazz by “The Montgomery Jazz Group”

Jun 28th - BMX Expo

Edora  Park  (BMX Track and Bike  Park ).
BMX Kid’s Clinic at 10:00am , races at 11:00am , Pro demo at 1:00pm.

Jun 28th - FC Bike Quest

CSU Oval at 8:30am
FC Bikes is seeking 10 teams of 5 bicyclists each to embark upon a treasure hunt throughout Fort Collins . Bike Teams are provided fun clues they must solve in order to complete the hunt and win fantastic prizes.

Aug 10th - Pedal to the Point

On Sunday August 10th 2008, Turning Point Center for Youth and Family Development is holding the 2nd Pedal to the Point Bike Tour through beautiful Northern Colorado .  This will be a family oriented event that will feature a fully supported 35, 50, and 75 mile ride with rest stops and a celebration to follow at our Waverly School in Waverly.

Join the Diamond Peaks Mountain Bike Patrol for a fun kids mountain bike ride at Lory State Park.

Oct 11th - Bike Tour of Local Champion Trees

City Forester, Tim Buchanan leads an easy six mile (one-way) bike tour featuring a dozen notable trees of Fort Collins neighborhoods.  Participants will receive information on over 30 notable trees in Fort Collins that are rare, unusual, unique or one-of-a-kind. Tour begins at City Park pool (City Park Drive and Bryan Street) and ends at downtown Library Park.  Dress for the weather, bring a water bottle and snack. Registration required through the Gardens on Spring Creek, 2145 Centre Ave or 970-416-2486.  Fee: $5 member; non-member $10, five years of age and under free.  Instructor: Tim Buchanan
